Our Mission
- Insure that all personal property located within the boundaries of Beaufort County are assessed on a fair and equitable basis in accordance with the SC Law and regulations as established by the South Carolina Department of Revenue and Taxation;
- Levy the tax millages as established by Beaufort County Council, all municipalities and special purpose districts within the boundaries of Beaufort County;
- Provide an avenue of checks and balances between the County Auditor, County Assessor and County Treasurer as provided for by the South Carolina Code of Laws, 1976.
