Work has begun on the Chechesee bridge to repair bridge bearings and expansion joints. The work will involve remedial repairs to the bridge approaches and select lane closures will be anticipated during the work. Nighttime work will also be done during the construction repairs. Traffic will remain open throughout the length of the project.
Motorists approaching this area will encounter construction signs and speed changes. Use caution in the area.
