AIRPORT FIRE/OPERATIONS OFFICER (Hilton Head): Performs all duties related to airport safety and operations including airport safety inspections and response to all emergency calls at the Hilton Head Airport or surrounding property. Works 24 hour shifts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age
- Vocational/technical training in airport fire fighting, hazardous materials response and basic emergency medical care
- Six (6) months prior experience/training involving airport fire fighting, hazardous materials response and basic emergency medical care
- Must possess and maintain valid Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) certification
- Must possess and maintain valid First/Aid/CPR and First Responder certification or obtain within six months of hire date.
- Copies of all certifications must be submitted with application. Applications without certification copies will not be considered.
- Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license.
- IFSAC Firefighter, Airport Firefighter and EMT certification preferred
- Must have working knowledge of CFR Part 139
- Must pass five year background check

SALARY: $11.79 hr.

DEPUTY CLERK OF PROBATE COURT: Performs specialized duties in all areas of Court’s jurisdiction: decedents’ estates and trusts, guardianships and conservatorships, mental health/chemical commitments, and marriage licenses.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in related field and one year of pertinent experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge and skills for this position
- Law office, paralegal, or judicial experience helpful.
- Ability to work well with others; good communication skills required along with computer, typing and bookkeeping
- Must be able to conceptualize and work independently and as a team player
- Good judgment and analytical skills essential in order to assist judges as executive aide
- Serves at the pleasure of the elected official

PARAMEDIC (Part Time): Responsible for responding to emergency calls and providing efficient and immediate care to the ill and injured. Will also provide care to patients at the scene and during transport to a medical facility.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Must have successfully completed the EMT Paramedic course, be state certified and have one year of related experience; national registration preferred.
- Also requires CPR certification (Basic Life Support) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS).

SALARY: $13.16 hr.
