Senior Fashion show

SEA ISLAND SENIOR PROGRAM

The Sea Island Senior Program meets Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Seaside and Scott Centers and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Broomfield Center. Call your local center for more information.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

This program is offered daily at Seaside, Scott, and Broomfield Centers. Children receive one-on-one tutoring from in-house staff. Call for additional information. For your convenience, staff will be on site to see that your child gets off the bus at their local center after school. Call your local center for an application. Ages 5 - 14. 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

SPECIAL DAYS

CHILDREN'S ART EXCHANGE

What: Join us each month for drawing, painting, sculpting and collages with friends. There will be 3 sessions every school month starting in October.

When: Tuesdays 3:45 - 5:45 p.m.

Cost: $50 class fee made payable to PALS. $6 additional material fee made payable to Children's Art Exchange. There is a $5 discount when you register with siblings and friends on the same day.

Ages: 6-11 years

Deadline for Registration: Open until filled.

 

Special Events Saturday

The third Saturday of each month the center celebrates a special "theme".

4 - 6 p.m.

Community Meeting

Voice your concerns and provide positive input on topics of importance on the first Monday of each month.

Children will be introduced to ceramics, sewing, jewelry making, etc.

WEDNESDAYS

Teen Talk

Teens talk about daily affairs. Guest speakers are scheduled.

THURSDAYS

Youth Sewing

Children will learn how to operate a sewing machine and make small items.

5 - 7 p.m.

FRIDAYS

Field Trips

Scheduled every other Friday.

Baking

Children will learn how to bake their favorite dessert recipes.

Computer Classes and Book Reports

Children will learn how to operate the computer in order to complete homework and
book reports.

5 - 7 p.m.

Nutrition Program

Children will learn how to make healthy snacks.

Scott Community Center

MONDAY

Youth Sports Program

Children will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of various sports such as basketball, softball, soccer, golf, and volleyball. All of these activities will follow up with an organized game.

5:30-7:00 p.m.

TUESDAY

Tennis Lessons

Children will receive one-on-one lessons, learning the techniques on proper forehand and backhand swing and positioning your body against the ball.

WEDNESDAY

Arts & Crafts

Children will learn how to color neatly, sew, make ceramic projects, jewelry and pillows.

4:30-5:30 p.m.

THURSDAY

Nutrition Program

Children learn how to make healthy and nutritious meals.

5:30-7:00 p.m.

FRIDAY

Cooking Class

Children will learn how to make their favorite dessert.

5:30-7:00 p.m.
