Mission:
- Serve veterans and their dependents in a quasi-legal nature, by preparing/submitting claims to the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Provide a comprehensive outreach program to the homeless, unemployed, disabled, housebound and incompetent veterans and their dependents/survivors.
- Coordinate annual programs, with the County, designated to assist veterans, their families, and their survivors by providing extensive informational services relating to the availability of assistance/services for individual cases.
- Serve as an advocate for veterans:
- Interact with local veterans service organizations and auxiliaries, support groups and human service agencies to provide assistance and referrals.
- Survey the needs of the veteran community
- Provide benefits briefings to veterans, their families and/or survivors, outlining programs offered by the US department of Veterans Affairs and the SC State Department of Veterans Affairs.
