Historic Preservation Review Board

Boards and Commissions

To provide the Beaufort County Planning Board with records, an ongoing survey, evaluations, and recommendations concerning the preservation and protection of historically significant structures and sites. In addition, the Historic Preservation Review Board will be expected to issue or deny Certificates of Appropriateness and Cease and Desist orders.

  • Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month, as needed, at 3:30 p.m.
  • Meetings last approximately two hours.
  • Meetings are held in the Administration Building.
  • A strong interest and concern in preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Beaufort County is desired.
