Boards and Commissions

To encourage regional solutions in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties;  to serve as a resource to the 25 local governments in the region and to connect those jurisdictions to specific state and federal programs; operates in four primary areas:

Area Agency on Aging/Aging &Disability Resource Center; including access and information on a broad range of senior living services.

Planning; including demographic and statistical data and research, GIS, regional transportation/transit planning, regional water quality management, and local land-use planning.

Community & Economic Development; including community infrastructure grants, economic development grants and affordable housing programs and business loan programs.

Workforce Development; including adult and youth job training and support services.

  • Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. (January through October).
  • Meetings last approximately ninety minutes.
  • Meetings are held at Point South.
