Board Meeting Wednesday, April 26, 2017

The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County will hold their monthly Board meeting on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm.  The meeting will be held in the Executive Conference Room, located in the Government Complex at 100 Ribaut Road, Beaufort, SC.

This meeting is open and the public is welcome.

Interested in working the polls for the first-time?  Attend a New Poll Manager Training!

The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County will be conducting New Poll Manager training. All persons interested in working the polls for the first time, may enroll in one of these free sessions.

All of the training sessions will be conducted at the Beaufort Voter Registration and Elections Office, located at 15 John Galt Road, Beaufort, SC  29906.

IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING OPENS MONDAY, APRIL 24, 2017 FOR THE TOWN OF PORT ROYAL SPECIAL ELECTION

In-person absentee voting for the Town of Port Royal Special Election will start Monday, April 24, 2017. The Beaufort Office, located at 15 John Galt Road, Beaufort, SC will be open 9 am – 4 pm Monday to Friday.

The last day of in-person absentee voting for the Town of Port Royal Special Election is on Monday, May 15, 2017, and the Beaufort office will be open 9 am – 5 pm.

The following precincts will be open 7 am—7 pm for voting on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 for the Town of Port Royal Special Election.

Public Test of Voting Machines for the Town of Port Royal Special Election


The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County will conduct a public test of the Electronic Voting Machines for the May 16, 2017 Town of Port Royal Special Election on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10 am.

The public test will be conducted at the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County office, 15 John Galt Road, Beaufort, SC 29906.

New voter photo identification requirements are in effect.  Please have one of these five photo IDs ready to vote:

  • S.C. Driver's License
  • ID Card issued by S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles
  • S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
  • Federal Military ID
  • U.S. Passport
