Public Testing of Voting Machines for Presidential Preference Primaries

Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County will conduct an Optical Scan Ballot test and Electronic Voting Machines preparation test for the upcoming Presidential Preference Primaries.

The Optical Scan Ballot test and Electronic Voting Machines preparation test for the Republican Presidential Primary will be on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

The Optical Scan Ballot test and Electronic Voting Machines preparation test for the Democratic Presidential Primary will be on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

These public tests will be conducted at Board of Voter Registration and Elections Beaufort office located at 15 John Galt Road, Beaufort, SC 29906.

The public is invited to observe the process.

 

The Republican Presidential Preference Primary Election is on Saturday, February 20, 2016.  The polls will be open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Democratic Presidential Preference Primary Election is on Saturday, February 27, 2016.  The polls will be open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Bluffton Satellite Office Operating Hours Changed

 

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County Bluffton Satellite office operating hours has temporarily changed.

Effective immediately, the Bluffton Office will be open on starting Monday, January 25, 2016 until March 4, 2016, 9 am - 4 pm.

Full services can still be obtained at the Beaufort office at 15 John Galt Rd., Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Now in Effect -- New Photo ID Requirements!

New voter photo identification requirements are in effect.  Please have one of these five photo IDs ready to vote:

  • S.C. Driver's License
  • ID Card issued by S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles
  • S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
  • Federal Military ID
  • U.S. Passport
