Welcome to the Beaufort County Emergency Management Division of the Sheriff's Office webpage. The primary purpose of Emergency Management is to protect life and property in the event of a manmade or natural disaster, through a program of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Our Staff of planners, communications specialists, operations managers and logistical support personnel is committed to an all hazards approach to Emergency Management. By building and sustaining effective partnerships with federal, state and local government agencies to include our surrounding military partners, and with the private sector; Emergency Management ensures the County's ability to rapidly recover from large and small disasters by assessing and mitigating hazards, enhancing preparedness, ensuring effective response and building the capacity to recover.
Emergency Management is also responsible for the registration of all hazardous materials, 911 addressing, the Traffic Management Center and the consolidated Dispatch Center for Beaufort County.
