OPERATIONS MANAGER (Treasurer’s Office*): Manages all areas relating to the collection of current taxes to include tasks such as: staff supervision, planning and participating in tax sales and other collection methods, legal research, utilizing technology to assist in the streamlining of procedures, and resolving problems and issues relating to tax collections.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred or six years experience in related field including: office administration, supervisory responsibilities, customer service, basic bookkeeping, personal computer operations
  • Knowledgeable in the use of computer operations, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Able to use reason to perform mathematical calculations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, works well in a team environment
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

This position works at the pleasure of an elected official.

*Some Beaufort County departments maintain more than one office location.  Beaufort County reserves the right to transfer employees in both short term and long term capacities to an alternate location at any time for any reason.
