Public Facilities Committee

Mission Statement

  • Public Facilities fosters adequate and efficient services for county infrastructure in the areas of facilities, facilities maintenance, engineering, construction, road maintenance, and management of solid waste/recycling. It is also this committee chairman's responsibility to recruit and submit names of candidates for the boards, agencies, commissions and authorities within its auspices.
  • Information Technology periodically reviews the use of technology throughout Beaufort County government, including approval of request for proposals and contracts.

External Responsibilities as Council's Representative:

  • Beaufort County Transportation Committee (CTC) 
  • Keep Beaufort County Beautiful Board
  • Lowcountry Area Transportation Study (LATS)
  • Solid Waste and Recycling Board
  • Transportation Advisory Group (BTAG)
